International Students Follow These Steps

1.Check Program Availability

Liahona Preparatory Academy only accepts a few international students each year. To verify placement availability for the time period that you want to register, please email liahona@liahonaed.com with notification of your interest in attending.

2.Apply Online

After receiving confirmation of space availability in our program, you will then register for classes on our website: liahonaeducation.com.

3.Send Pertinent Information

Immediately after registering, please email the following documents to liahona@liahonaed.com:

  1. Bank statement proving funds availability for tuition and housing, etc. (approximately $23,000 USD)
  2. Letter attesting to English language proficiency
  3. Information sheet including: passport number, full name on passport, birthdate, parent names, country of birth, current country of citizenship, current foreign address, mailing address (if different), and address in the U.S. if already determined.

4.Await Acceptance and Signed I-20 Form

Students who are accepted into the program will receive an email stating their acceptance within 2 weeks of applying. At that point, those students will be shipped the signed Form I-20 and an official acceptance letter that must be shown to a U.S. consulate. Payment for the I-901 processing fee of $200 USD to receive F-1 Student Visa status must then be made. If a student is transferring from another SEVP-approved school, please notify the office of the school’s contact information, so we can request the appropriate transfer forms.

5.Finalize Housing

Liahona Preparatory Academy is not a boarding school. In the event you need assistance with securing a host family, Liahona Preparatory Academy has a list of host families you may use. If one of our host families is selected, an additional cost ($8,000) housing fee will be applied.

6.Pay First Half of Annual Tuition

We require the first half of the annual tuition to be paid before the student arrives in the U.S. Please see the tuition table at the bottom of this page for details.

7.Welcome

Once all requirements are complete, you are ready to attend Liahona Preparatory Academy, and we welcome you. Please note that you may not enter the U.S. more than 30 days prior to the program start date and must report to Liahona Preparatory Academy no later than 15 days after the start date.

We are pleased that you have chosen Liahona Preparatory Academy for your international educational experience and look forward to having you in our SEVP Foreign Exchange Student Program.
