International students at Liahona Preparatory Academy

Seven Steps to Enrollment

Follow this step-by-step process to enroll as an international student at Liahona Preparatory Academy.

1

Check Program Availability

Liahona Preparatory Academy accepts a limited number of international students each year. To confirm that space is available for your desired enrollment period, please email liahona@liahonaed.com expressing your interest in attending.

2

Apply Online

Once you receive confirmation that space is available, complete the online registration process through our website at liahonaeducation.com.

3

Submit Required Documents

Immediately after registering, email the following documents to liahona@liahonaed.com:

  • A bank statement demonstrating sufficient funds for tuition and living expenses (approximately $23,000 USD)
  • A letter attesting to English language proficiency
  • An information sheet including: passport number, full legal name as shown on passport, date of birth, parent or guardian names, country of birth, current country of citizenship, current foreign address, U.S. mailing address (if already determined)
  • Official academic records, translated into English — translation services are available at rapidtranslate.org
4

Await Acceptance & I-20 Form

Accepted students will receive an email confirmation within two weeks of applying. A signed Form I-20 and an official acceptance letter will then be shipped to the student, which must be presented to a U.S. consulate. The $200 USD I-901 processing fee must be paid to obtain F-1 Student Visa status. Students transferring from another SEVP-approved school should provide the office with the current school's contact information so transfer forms can be requested.

5

Finalize Housing

Liahona Preparatory Academy is not a boarding school. If you need assistance securing a host family, the academy maintains a list of approved host families. If one of our host families is selected, an additional housing fee of $8,000 will apply.

6

Pay First Half of Annual Tuition

The first half of annual tuition must be paid before the student arrives in the United States. See the Tuition & Fees tab for a full breakdown of costs and due dates.

7

Welcome to Liahona

Once all requirements are fulfilled, you are ready to attend Liahona Preparatory Academy. Please note that students may not enter the U.S. more than 30 days before the program start date and must report to the academy no later than 15 days after the start date. We look forward to welcoming you to our SEVP Foreign Exchange Student Program.
