Student Activities
Building character, forging friendships, and creating lasting memories through meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.
Annual Activities
At Liahona, education reaches far beyond the classroom walls. Throughout the year, our students participate in activities designed to strengthen their faith, broaden their horizons, and build bonds that last a lifetime. Both academy and distance education students are welcome to join.

Service Trips
Our service trips challenge students and families to turn learning into action by serving communities around the world. From rebuilding infrastructure and restoring wells to providing medical and dental care, these experiences cultivate compassion and gratitude in ways a classroom alone cannot.
Past destinations have included Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, Navajo Nation reservations, and the Philippines. Trips are typically held in June.
Included: Transportation, accommodations, and entrance fees
Participant cost: Flights, food, and personal expenses
Eligibility: Family members of enrolled or graduated students in good standing. Children under 10 require a parent or chaperone.
Educational Excursions
These immersive travel experiences bring history, culture, and the arts to life. Students visit the places where pivotal moments in history unfolded, gaining perspectives no textbook can provide.
Past destinations include Boston, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Gettysburg for American history; England and Scotland exploring the origins of constitutional liberty; Mayan ruins in Mexico tied to Book of Mormon study; and New York City for Broadway and the arts.
