Scholarships

 

 

There are two tuition scholarships available to students desirous of attending a private school:
 
Children First Utah.
Children First Utah is a private scholarship fund offered to low-income families. Acceptance is by application and lottery. Applications are accepeted year round.  The scholarship typically pays ½ of a student’s tuition.  Apply on their website at www.childrenfirstutah.org  If you have additional questions please contact Annette at 801-363-0946.
 
 
 
Carson Smith
Students with an current IEP or who qualify for an IEP may be eligible for the Carson Smith Scholarship Program. Carson Smith is funded by the State of Utah to help students find a school better suited to their learning challenges. Their website is www.choiceineducation.org or call 801-637-4111. Carson Smith recipients cannot be dual-enrolled in a private and public school, cannot be taking any public school classes, electronic high school or MATC.
 
 
 
There are two college scholarships available to Liahona graduating seniors:
  
Liahona Foundation Scholarship
The Liahona Foundation grants one $1,000 scholarship and one $500 scholarship to the college of the recipients choice. All Liahona graduating seniors are encouraged to apply. The award is based on academic accomplishment and leadership contribution to Liahona and/or the community.
 
 
 
BYU - Liahona Endowed Scholarship (Provo Campus Only)
This scholarship is available to Liahona students who are graduating with a State of Utah diploma or Liahona Certificate of Graduation. Preference goes to accredited graduates.  To be eligible, you MUST list Liahona as your high school of attendance when applying to BYU AND registering for the ACT/SAT or you will not be considered.  This award is ½ tuition for 4 years as long as you maintain the GPA required by BYU.
